Natural Hair in braids…

I tweeted about the kid’s hair. They’ll carry these for the next forthnight.

You ‘ve seen their hair loose,

now here it is in braids:

It’s funny once Mr’s hair is done, he won’t stop dancing around…if you ask him then what he wants to be, he always answers: a dancer!

As for madam, she has become very specific about the styles she wants on herself. Nomore experimenting! She has to look fab.

They have their Aunt to thank for doing that, she has a very gentle touch too, so they aren’t in pain after getting their hair done. She is available for appointments, if you want her

Valentine…is about you first!

I was going to write a post on Valentine, but then I remembered a conversation I’d had with Roseline and based on that, decided to ask here if she would write a piece this valentine for us….our conversation had been about looking after yourself and then making yourself worth it …both inside and outside. Many times, we tend to focus on one or the other rather than both! Peharps Valentine is a time to remember yourself but without going on…I’ll handover to Roseline:

“Valentine’s day’ is an incredible period that can be seen from various points of view: First, there are those in absolute denial and rejection of the whole notion and just think, ‘WHATEVER!!’.

roses

Secondly are the  ‘WANNABEEES’…they ‘wanna be loved by hook or by crook!’ and would go to all lenghts to prove to their ever watching imaginary ‘fans’ that they are absolutely loved!! Oh la la!!..the flowers, the cards, the absolute enviable romance from an existing or imaginary person!

Then there is the  third group that have A FLOW OF admirers and actually take it for granted! Yes, I know you know some of them! People we would love to hate but can’t as we are in absolute envy  and confusion at how they can just be so ‘EFFORTLESSLY ATRACTIVE’  to others ..and some are not even good looking!! So, what is making them so magnetic?

Then we have those who love out of ‘DUTY AND ROUTINE!’. As it is ‘expected’ of them. Yet secretly, they do not ‘feel’ special and do not honestly enjoy the whole  blinking affair!

Finally, there are those who think, ‘yes, we must make an effort at least this year!’ But probably may not do anything at all!..as they have said this before and will continue saying this till the cows come home! Hmmmm…the power of ‘PROCRASTINATION’!!

So where does all this leave you?
Beauty and sensuality comes from within. If your emotions were a personality..the question is…honestly, WOULD YOU DATE YOU?…no no..stop thinking that you could make the extra effort but… ‘something’ must  happen first to merit your efforts!…
If you ‘feel’ beautiful, your aura will be beautiful and sensual. You will automatically attract admiration, attention, love and all.
It is not what you ‘say’ that matters most but what you ‘think’. Your life is a result of your thought process. You think, then you act, so you attract and then you receive. It is as simple as that!
So, how can you ‘think’ love and inner sensuality into materialization and truely enjoy the moment?
EASY!! Try spoiling ‘YOURSELF’ first and watch and see. Love ‘YOU’ first. Love ‘YOUR’ skin.
Love ‘YOUR’ face.
Do something special for ‘YOU’.
Celebrate ‘YOU’.
Date ‘YOU’!
Once you are your number 1 fan…ahhhh…now this is the ‘AHA’ moment….anything is possible!
So go on… stop allowing your self to be a wall flower on the dance floor! You are waiting for you.
Give your self a break…..enjoy loving ‘YOU’on Valentine’s day…..”

And as I ‘ve run out of the package one( I use Aunt Libbys), I’m on the lookout for a decent recipe…although I’ve been told I might get tinned pumpkin in Fallon and Byrne- a lovely shop in Dublin City centre.

NiÉriu Natural Body Oil

As spring comes in, I decided I’d tell you about some of our products which used regularly can get your skin in tip top shape for the summer,Don’t take our word for it, check the reviews on some of the products on our site!

Our body oil is a lovely mix of skin loving oils. Bearing in mind our own in-house  issues with nut allergies, I generally do not use nut oils much as I love some of them for personal use but that’s another post.

NiEriu body oil contains Grapessed Oil  which is a light quick absorbing oil, Peach Oil as this can help prevent skin dehydration, it has revitalizing, regenerative and moisturizing properties. Also in it is Avocado Oil which  is said to have peharps the greatest epidermal penetration of all oils and can reduce inflammation  and prevent premature aging of the skin. Last but not the least, Jojoba Oil which is actually a wax and not an oil, is similar to the skin’s natural sebum. Jojoba oil also has a natural spf of about 3-5.

Also in the mix, we have Essential Oils of Chamnomile and Lavender at quite low levels but enough to be effective.  We must also not forget Vitamin E- though some of the oils already contain this, we’ve added some more. Vitamin E a  powerful natural antioxidant that helps  combat the free radicals and other damaging elements in the skin. It also helps with preventing rancidity in the body oil.

NiÉriu body oil does not leave your skin feeling oily but sinks in to keep your skin feeling supple and moisturised. It is a rich blend of nourishing and emollient oils.

It can be used underneath your sunscreen, on it’s own, as a bath oil, or for a massage.
